A light touch and a LOT of patience! This lateral incisor was deemed restorable by the local prosthodontist (love it when that happens.... NO PRESSURE!) So the rest was up to me. Don't forget root treatment is a 3D game, we shouldn't think of our patients in 2D. A fractured file rarely fills the entire canal and it is my job to find the area it doesn't fill so I can bypass it. Again look at the lesion surrounding the apex (there will be an apical delta here!) I decided against apicectomy because this would reduce the root length for the post which will be required. 2nd radiographic shows the fractured file bypassed 1mm long of the working length just to prove there was no perforation. Then sodium hypo and Edta Edta used to soak the apical delta prep 35 04. K files used to size 45. I decided against removing the file as it was around the curve. Then I have utilised the sealer puff to show patency was achieved, (3rd radiograph). Now it's up to the prosthodontist to do a nice conservative restoration!
Congratulations!
