oPTions - Invasive Cervical Resorption

oPTions ... 44 year old female patient tooth 13 with Invasive Cervical Resorption (Heithersay class 3), Pulp Necrosis and Asymptomatic Apical Periodontitis Orthodontic treatment as a possible etiological factor Treatment plan: . surgical exposure of the lesion . granulation tissue curettage using curettes and low-speed carbide burs. . exposure of the root canal was observed . disinfection with NaOCl . application of 90% Trichloroacetic acid (inactivation of resorption tissue) .coronal access cavity . Irrigation of the root canal with NaOCl . Introduction of a gutta percha cone in the existing space of the root canal through the coronal access cavity . filling and adaptation of glass ionomer in the dental defect corresponding to the zone of resorption . removal of the gutta percha cone and maintenance of root canal access checked . repositioning and suturing of the flap after glass ionomer setting . Absolute insulation with rubber dam . Non-surgical endodontic treatment, intra-canal dressing with calcium hydroxide + temporary restoration . 30 days later - second session RCT with root canal obturation and access restoration
