Grasping a separated file using " super glue 😊 "
- a preoperative radiograph shown a broken large tapered file in the coronal third of DB canal for an upper 7 ( see x ray nu 1 ) - After troughing around the head of the file for about its 1/3 length using US tip , it started to dance everywhere except in the direction that i love to dance towards , which is the coronal direction . 😀 - At this point , i shifted to a grasping tool , and i used here a tube with an adhesive material inside , the normal super glue one . - I have to choose the appropriate size of the available tips wz me , the tip of choice is the one who was small enough to go deep in the canal and at the same moment large enough to hug very tightly the coronal exposed part of the broken file . - I placed some super glue on the selected tip , and to spread it to inside the lumen , i used a large k file to carry the glue to inside. - Insert the tube quickly wz the glue inside tightly over the coronal part of the fragment , the most important of all is to wait after placement few minutes and be patient , after u feel that the glue has set ( and this depend on the room temperature btw 😀) , gently tease &/or pull the tube out engaging the broken file , and u have to be lucky for sure otherwise you will go out empty 😊 ( see the clinical pictures from 1 to 6 ) - Removal of the file was confirmed radiographically ( x ray nu 2 ) - Mechanical prep was done using hyflex , and obturation using warm shilder obturation technique . ( x ray nu 3 and 4 )
