3-year clinical outcomes following non-surgical minimally invasive therapy of intrabony defects with adjunctive Er,Cr:YSGG laser application

This is a 55 y/o non-smoking female without systemic diseases.Er,Cr:YSGG laser-assisted minimally invasive nonsurgical therapy was performed to treat her periodontal disease.Sulcular debridement with laser was applied prior to complete root surface debridement under microscope,and then photocoagulation was done to stabilize the blood clot. She disappeared half a year after active treatment and has recently returned to the clinic.Significant improvement in bone density at 27 and 37 distal intrabony defects with minimal gingival recession was noted. We can see from this case the long-term stability of laser-assisted minimally invasive nonsurgucal treatment.
